Holding of the Dr. Kazemi Scientific Award Concurrently with the 27th Royan International Congress

The 27th International Congress on Reproductive Medicine and the 22nd Congress on Stem Cell Biology and Technology will be held from 2 to 4 September 2026 in Tehran. The distinguished highlight of this year’s congress is the organization of the Dr. Kazemi Scientific Award (Kazemi Prize) by the Royan Institute.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Office of the Royan Institute, the Dr. Kazemi Award provides an exceptional platform to introduce and honor the most outstanding scientific achievements of national researchers in the fields of reproductive medicine and stem cell biology and technology. The Award not only enhances researchers’ motivation, but also underscores Iran’s scientific capabilities on the international stage and positively reshapes the perspective of international scholars toward domestic researchers.

Dr. Seyed Abolhassan Shahzadeh Fazeli, Deputy for Research and Technology at the Royan Institute, stated:
“The Dr. Kazemi Award program has consistently served as an opportunity to demonstrate the country’s scientific capacity to the international community and has paved the way for expanded international collaborations among researchers.”

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution proposed the establishment of an award entitled the “Kazemi Prize,” to be conferred annually upon a scientist who has achieved significant advancement in the life sciences. This initiative was founded with the dual purpose of honoring distinguished scientific efforts and preserving the legacy and memory of the late Dr. Saeed Kazemi Ashtiani within the national and international scientific community. The Prize is thus awarded in recognition of the lifelong and tireless dedication of a scientist who devoted his life to advancing human well-being, improving quality of life, and alleviating human suffering.
