The 17th Royan International Summer School to Explore the Microbiome in Regenerative Medicine

The 17th Royan International Summer School to Explore the Microbiome in Regenerative Medicine The 17th International Summer School of Royan Institute (ACECR), entitled "The Symphony of Therapy: Unlocking Regenerative Potential through the Microbiome," will be held 15–19 August 2026 in Tehran in collaboration with the University of Science and Culture.
According to the Public Relations Office of Royan Institute, the scientific event aims to present the latest advances in microbiome research and its clinical applications in regenerative medicine, innovative therapeutic strategies, and human health. The Summer School will bring together leading faculty members, researchers, physicians, and students in the life sciences from across the country.
Recognized as one of the most rapidly evolving frontiers in modern life sciences, the human microbiome has emerged as a critical determinant of human health, immune regulation, chronic disease pathogenesis, and tissue repair and regeneration. Adopting a multidisciplinary approach, this Summer School will provide a comprehensive overview of the field, spanning fundamental biological discoveries through translational and clinical applications.
Participants will gain insight into the latest international scientific developments while benefiting from direct interaction with distinguished experts and researchers. The program will also highlight translational pathways that bridge laboratory discoveries with clinical practice.

Scientific Topics
The Summer School will cover a broad range of cutting-edge topics, including:
  • Stem Cells and the Microbiome
  • Intestinal Stem Cells and Microbial Ecology
  • The Role of the Microbiome in Reproductive Health
  • Microbiome-Mediated Regulation of Bone, Skin, and Brain Health and Regeneration
  • Inflammation, Tissue Repair, and Regenerative Medicine
  • Therapeutic Applications of Prebiotics and Postbiotics
  • Advanced Technologies in Microbiome Research, including Organoids, Omics Technologies, and Co-culture Systems
  • Translating Research from Bench to Bedside: Clinical Applications, Ethical Considerations, and Future Challenges
The Summer School is designed for physicians, faculty members, researchers, graduates, and undergraduate and postgraduate students in medicine, biology, biotechnology, nutrition, and other related disciplines.
By bringing together experts from diverse fields, the event will provide an excellent platform to explore emerging global trends, foster interdisciplinary research collaborations, and strengthen professional networks in the fields of regenerative medicine and microbiome science.
