Royan Institute Holds a Free Public Consultation Service on World Fertility Day
November 2 is observed as World Fertility Day, providing an opportunity to raise public awareness of reproductive health, address challenges associated with fertility, and emphasize the importance of timely diagnosis and access to specialized reproductive healthcare services. Marking this international observance, Royan Institute, affiliated with the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), held a free public information and consultation service to enhance public awareness and address questions concerning embryology, pregnancy, and infertility.
Fertility is an important aspect of human health and is influenced by various factors, including age, physical condition, lifestyle, and certain medical disorders. Infertility remains a major global health challenge, affecting many individuals and couples seeking to conceive.
Despite significant advances in reproductive medicine and the development of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, raising public awareness of factors affecting fertility, correcting misconceptions, reducing the social stigma associated with infertility, and emphasizing the importance of assessing the reproductive health of both partners remain essential priorities. Advances in assisted reproductive technologies (ART), including in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), have also created new opportunities for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility.
In this context, Royan Institute organized the free public information and consultation service on Monday, November 2, 2026, coinciding with World Fertility Day. The initiative aimed to promote evidence-based information, enhance public awareness, and address questions from individuals and couples regarding embryology, pregnancy, and infertility. During the event, visitors had the opportunity to raise their questions on these subjects and receive professional guidance from relevant specialists.
As one of Iran's leading centers in reproductive medicine and infertility treatment, Royan Institute draws on its scientific, research, educational, and clinical capacities to advance knowledge, develop innovative technologies, and improve reproductive healthcare services. Organizing this initiative also reflected the Institute's commitment to its social responsibility, strengthening direct engagement with the public, and facilitating access to reliable scientific information and specialized guidance.
World Fertility Day serves as a reminder that awareness, timely diagnosis, and access to specialized healthcare services play an essential role in enabling informed reproductive decisions, supporting individuals and couples, and improving access to appropriate infertility care.
