In September 2026, Royan Institute will host one of the region’s most significant scientific gatherings, bringing together two distinguished international congresses within a unified scientific platform.

On June 14, 2026, Royan Institute, recognized as one of the country's foremost pioneering institutions in the fields of life sciences, stem cell research, and advanced medical technologies, hosted a delegation of members from the Health and Medical Services Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.

Knowledge-based product WhartoCell, developed on the basis of umbilical cord–derived stem cells and indigenous technology, has received authorization from the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of osteoarthritis, with the aim of reducing inflammation and promoting cartilage regeneration.
